THE STORY BEHIND THE SPREADSHEETS

I learned the math of wealth in corporate finance. I learned the psychology of money through life.

Hi, I'm JR. I mix 15 years of corporate accounting with life coaching. I help you build financial freedom and peace of mind.

From working-class roots to the floors of J.P. Morgan.

By year three of my corporate career, I earned more than my parents ever had. I should have felt proud. Instead, I felt like a fraud. I couldn't even look my working-class mum in the eye and tell her my salary.

So, I overcompensated. I bought a car in cash. I took expensive holidays. I bought clothes I thought 'rich' people wore. I spent all my money trying to look the part. Finally, I stopped. I learned how to build real, quiet wealth instead.

Money is a shock absorber.

In just a few years, I moved house five times. I had two children. Long-term relationships ended, and new ones began. That season of life would have broken me without a financial safety net. The anxiety would have been too high. The missed chances too great. That's when it hit me. We don't save money to get rich. We save money to protect ourselves from the chaos of life.

The missing piece of financial planning.

I was always good with numbers. But taking time to become a qualified coach taught me a better skill: how to listen. I saw the power of giving someone your full, unjudging attention.

Traditional advisors tell you what to do. I listen to what you actually want, and then we build the mathematical roadmap to get you there.

Outside the Ledger

When I'm not coaching, I'm a parent to two kids and a dog. You'll find me walking in the woods, trying to get my kids to eat vegetables, or listening to an audiobook. I believe the best way to grow is to learn from how others live.
